丁人间（佟大为 饰）因为带领公司同事要求老板涨薪而遭到了开除，妻子林月（林鹏 饰）在好友唐晓刚（朱刚日尧 饰）的怂恿下向丈夫提出了离婚，之后和唐晓刚走到了一起。失业后的丁人间无奈之下来到了翟至味（王一博 饰）的公司打工，处处受这个小自己很多的小老板的管制。之后，唐晓刚在商场上刻意排挤翟至味，导致他的公司破产，与此同时，翟至味的父亲去世令他的人生跌至低谷。
