鲁西南沂临县城一个平和慵懒的早晨，王家纨绔二少爷一骑单车飞过寻常巷陌，一个恶毒的圈套已悄然布下。汉魁行侠仗义，为花旦名角似玉出头，却落入县长徐怀菊诱捕老鹰崮匪首季风的阴谋中。王汉魁连中毒计，身背“通匪弑父”之罪含恨入伙，亡命天涯。又因不愿欺辱无辜百姓三刀六洞走出老鹰崮。身处乱世民不聊生，王汉魁凭一己之力当上大当家，保家卫国，开始他灵魂炼狱般的成长史诗。

故事讲述一宗牵涉六个受害人的谋杀案，他们被肢解并缝合成一个怪诞的尸体，尸体被称为「Ragdoll」。这宗震惊社会的案件由刚回复职务的伦敦警察厅侦缉警长Nathan Rose (Henry Lloyd-Hughes饰)、前者好友兼上司侦缉警长Emily Baxter (Thalissa Teixeira饰)以及警员Lake Edmunds（Lucy Hale饰演）负责调查；当「尸偶杀手」为了嘲笑警方，向他们发送一张包括Nathan Rose在上面的新受害人名单后，主角们将承受前所未有的压力。

　　《大典当》讲述了一出曲折离奇、跌宕起伏的商海大战。该剧除了展示上世纪60年三代人不同的商业价值观外，还加入奇特揪心的爱恨情仇。全剧通过对商海的诚信义善和欺诈奸猾的对比，引发观众对人性真善美与假恶丑的思考。由于剧组将在西安取景，因此，陕西特有的风土人情、方言民俗等都会在剧中有所展示。据悉，该剧由魏晓海编剧、一沙导演，张延、侯祥玲、汤镇宗等著名演员领衔主演。
